Red Badge of Courage

One time, late at night, I came downstairs with a bloody nose. My parents were
excited and asked me if it was because I was studying too much. When I said that
it was because I was tired, they were so disappointed. I feel like I’m missing a
rite of passage, the famous “it’s because I studied too much” bloody
nose.

How to Cook Endangered Fish

The other day my big, giant family went to the aquarium.  All of the younger
generation kids born in America were admiring the beauty of the fish.  Our
parents, however, thought it was the perfect time to swap recipes on how to cook
the various fish we were admiring.  You could actually see them drooling while
they looked at the exhibits.  You don’t know how many times I heard the phrase,
“I wish I had a fishing rod with me.  EEHAHAHAHA!”

Win-Win or Lose-Lose

My parents told me they would get me a new laptop if all my term grades were an
A+. I got 5 A+’s and 1 A.
My current laptop is going to be taken away and I’m not getting a new one…
